This policy explains what information may be handled when you visit AroostookEats.com (“the site”), how it is used, and the choices available to you. The site is made for Charlie Cormier of C Cormier Inc.
1. Information you provide
The current site is a public, informational directory. It does not provide visitor accounts, contact forms, ordering, payments, or a public menu-upload form. We do not intentionally ask you to submit personal information through the site. If you contact the site owner or developer through a separate channel, the information you choose to send may be used to respond to you.
2. Server and proxy logs
The site is self-hosted at an origin server and uses RackNerd as an IPv4 proxy between visitors and that origin. When a browser requests a page, the proxy, origin host, or related network/security systems may automatically process technical request data. Depending on configuration, this can include an IP address, date and time, requested URL, referrer, browser or device information, and status or diagnostic details. Such data may be used for delivery, troubleshooting, abuse prevention, and security. Retention and processing can depend on server configuration and RackNerd’s current provider practices. An IPv4 proxy does not mean that no IP or request information is processed.
3. Cookies, analytics, and local storage
The site itself does not intentionally set analytics or advertising cookies, and its directory filters run in your browser. This may change if analytics, advertising, or other third-party features are added later. External links and embedded or linked menu-viewer services may use their own cookies or similar technologies under their own policies.
4. Third-party sites, fonts, and menu services
This site loads its typefaces from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com). Your browser therefore makes requests to Google, which may receive technical request information such as your IP address and browser details. See Google’s Privacy Policy for its practices. Digital Flipbook menus are hosted at ccormierinc.com and open in a new tab; when you open one, that host receives normal web request information and may use its own cookies or similar technologies under its own policies. Links may also take you to other restaurant websites or digital menu/viewer services operated by other organizations. We do not control those services or their privacy practices. Review their privacy notices before sharing information with them.
5. AI-assisted material
Artificial-intelligence tools may have been used to help draft, organize, summarize, or edit site content. The site does not use information you enter into an AI tool through this website: no AI chat or submission feature is provided. AI-assisted content may nevertheless be inaccurate or out of date; please verify it with the restaurant. Do not rely on it for allergy or other safety-critical decisions. The site owner and developer do not warrant AI-assisted material’s accuracy or completeness, to the extent permitted by law.
6. How information may be shared
We do not sell personal information through this directory. Technical data may be handled by the hosting, proxy, and infrastructure providers needed to serve and secure the site, or disclosed when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the site, its users, or others. Provider handling is subject to their own terms and policies.
7. Children, security, and changes
The site is a general-audience restaurant directory and is not designed to collect information from children. Reasonable technical steps may be used to protect the self-hosted service, but no website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure. We may update this policy by posting a new version here; the date above will be revised when we do.
